Steps:

  1. Click ‘Generate Questions’.

2. Select a type, either a test or an exercise to generate.

3. Create a title for the test or exercise.

4. Set a start date to publish the test or exercise.

5. Set a start time. (optional)

6. Set an end date, i.e. a submission deadline, for the test or exercise.

7. Set an end time. (optional)

8. Select a report date out of three choices. ‘End Date’ means a report is published after the deadline. ‘Submit’ means a report is published after submission. ‘Custom Date’ refers to setting a  customised publish date.

9. Enter the number of trials for each question before submission. (for exercise only)

10. Select the difficulty setting, either ‘Manual Mode’ or ‘Auto Mode’. ‘Manual’ means setting the difficulty level manually whereas ‘Auto’ means that the system (AI) will assign questions which suit the abilities of the selected students in real time automatically.

11. Select one or more difficulty levels (for Manual Mode only)

12. Select and enable ‘Display Hint’ if applicable (for exercise only).

13. Select and enable ‘Display Full Solution in Report’ if applicable.

  1. Set credit points rules. Award credit points when the student’s work is submitted on time.

  3. Set credit points rules. Award credit points when the student can meet the standard.
  4. Click ‘Next’ to proceed to the next page. 
  • Questions can be assigned to students via either Classes or Groups, but not both.

21. Select a grade, class(es) or individual students to assign the test or exercise. The start date and time, and the end date and time can be set differently for different classes.

22. Select a group or groups of students to assign the test or exercise. The start date and time, and the end date and time can be set differently for different groups.

23. Click ‘Previous’ to return to the previous page.

24. Click ‘Next’ to proceed to the next page.

25. Select one or more strands of the test or exercise.

26. Select one or more learning units.

27. Enter the total number of questions.

28. Select one or more learning objectives.

29. Select one or more difficulty levels. (for Manual Mode only)

30. Enter the number of questions assigned for each learning objective.

31. Click ‘Previous’ to return to the previous page.

32. Click ‘Next’ to proceed to the next page.

33. Click ‘Previous’ to return to the previous page.

34. Click ‘Save as Draft’ to save the test or exercise. Proofread the work carefully.

35. Click ‘Save and Publish’ to save the finalised work and publish it.
